Do you have an AWeber account and have followed all the steps to set up your DKIM and SPF, but you still can’t get the button to turn “green”? I’ll bet you a nickel your domains are hosted on GoDaddy!
If you followed all these steps in Aweber and still can’t get the green button, don’t worry, the fix is quick and easy. BTW – if you need further explanation please leave a comment and I will add more info.
AWeber DKIM Setup for GoDaddy
This is a screenshot of what is on the AWeber site (pay attention to the highlighted part)
For GoDaddy you don’t need to add your domain. If you do it won’t work right.
Here is how the AWeber DKIM setup should look in GoDaddy.
Find DNS Record in GoDaddy Domains
If you aren’t sure how to get to the DNS records – just go to your domains and click the three ··· to the right of the domain you are adding the DKIM records. A dropdown menu will appear (see pic below) and then click on the “Manage DNS”
Once you do add the three new DKIM records you should see the ✓ next to the DKIM inside a green button.
Adding SPF record to GoDaddy Domain
You will see on the screenshot above that my SPF indicator is yellow. That is because I have more than one SPF record. I have Outlook and Shopify along with the AWeber SPF records.
Initially there were three seperate ones. This will cause a (!) in the SPF button area. When this happens you need to amalgamate or group your SPF records into one. Doing this will give you a yellow warning but it is an acceptable way of doing this.
The three records I use separately are:
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
v=spf1 include:shops.shopify.com -all
v=spf1 include:send.aweber.com -all
When added to one SPF record it will look like this:
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com include:shops.shopify.com include:send.aweber.com -all
If you want to check your installations for the DKIM and SPF – here are a couple of sites with online tools for that:

There ya go! Class dismissed 😀
